Kubler Ross Change Curve
There are big changes for lots of us so thought I would share the Kubler Ross Change Curve to help us understand our reactions to what is happening.
Our Status Quo has been rocked and lots of us will be in shock or denial. We may hear ourselves say “it won’t be for long” or “it doesn’t apply to me”. As we progresses through the curve we will realise there is disruption and we may begin to feel angry and frightened. The good news is that this is natural and we need to go through this phase before we can … Read on

What does a Coaching Programme looks like?
They normally last around 6 sessions and the great news is with technology they can be face to face. The first session is exploratory focusing on what you are trying to achieve and why you want to achieve it? Building trust and a relationship is the key and an objective should be clear by the end of the session. Your line manager may be part of some of this session to provide expectations on outcomes. Our coaching conversations are completely confidential.
We schedule sessions into the diary eg, someone making a big change in an organisation is likely to have … Read on

Message from the MD
Continuing on the theme of resilience, this morning I thought a reminder about how to manage our time and our workload would help those working from home. Here is the Urgent and Important Matrix from Stephen Covey and a link to a short YouTube video to explain it.
I love this tool and use it everyday in my work life. I often use it in my personal life too when I become overwhelmed with the tasks ahead.
It’s also useful to think about when you are most productive during the day. If you are energised in the morning this is … Read on

Considering Being Coached?
The top 4 things to think about if you are: –
1. What do I want to achieve?
2. Why is it important to me?
3. How important is it to me?
4. How ready am I to be challenged in the coaching environment?

Coach Reflection
Last week I talked about what my coaching brings to my Coachees, but what about does it bring to me?
1. I am inspired every day by the people I coach
2. I am reminded how lucky I am that I have family supporting me unconditionally in everything I do
3. I learn about myself every day
4. I have learned not to make assumptions about people

Coachee Reflection
I am having some reflective time this morning on what my coaching brings to my coachees. Here are my top four.
1. You have time that is solely focused on you. You don’t have to listen to me or ask me questions. It is only about you.
2. I am not emotionally involved and whatever decision(s) you make will not impact me, therefore I will not be trying to move you in a particular direction in the way your spouse or family might. I have no opinion on what you should do.
3. There are no judgments in my Coaching … Read on
